The Documentary film “Written Off” will be playing at Northland Pines High School on Wednesday September 26th at 6:30pm. The film follows the life of a man whose addiction to opioids began at the age of 15 after being prescribed medication for a minor surgery. His honest writings reveal the secrets he tried hard to hide throughout his decade long struggle with addiction. All are invited to attend, but age recommendation is for 11th grade and older. Following the film there will be an opportunity to tour the “Hidden in Plain Sight” mock teen bedroom. This serves as a helpful guide to parents and guardians to the trends they should be aware of and what they can look for in their teens bedroom as possible warning signs of drug and alcohol use and/or mental health concerns.
