Well if you are hoping that the trails are being refreshed in the Northwoods, your wish is coming true. We have received a few inches in the last couple days. Things look good for theis weekend again.

I got out ice fishing last weekend and things were very good on the ice. Good luck this weekend. Maybe get out tonight and get a fish fry on the FISH FRYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FRIDAY!!!.

Today we have a recpie from Gary Becker. Gary said that this is just a plain nice fish recipe, and he like to enjoy it cooking bluegill. Today we dine on Fried Bluegill.

The Parts:
Fish fillets (about a pound)
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 cup flour
1 cup cracker crumbs
1/2 cup corn flake crumbs

Makin': It:
Put milk, egg, salt and pepper in blender, turn on low speed to combine. Slowly add flour and blend until batter is smooth. Pour batter into a bowl.

Combine cracker and corn flake crumbs in a separate bowl.

Rinse fillets in cold water, drain, pat dry with paper towels. Dip fillets in batter, coat with crumbs.

Deep fry at 375 degrees until fillets are floating and golden brown.

A blender? Sounds fun to make. Gary your fish is in the mail.

Don't forget that if you have a recipe to share send it in. If I use it here on my Friday blog, you will receive a free fish fry from a local Northwoods restaurant. Send you recipe to wolf@wrjo.com.

Always remember, if it's a fish fry, eat it!.

Well it sure is nice to say this.

It's FISH FRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FRIDAY!

This weekend I am entered into a ice fishing tournament. This will be the first time in many years, pre hip replacement, that I will be able to go. Look forward to tightening a few lines.

This week we have a recipe from Thomas Raucsh. Tom said that if you are going to eat fish, this is the only recipe you should use. Today we dine on 7up Fish.

The Parts:
6 -8 perch fillets
1 egg
1 c. pancake mix
8 oz. 7Up

Makin' It:
Mix egg, pancake mix and 7-Up together well.

Dip fish fillets in batter and let the extra drip off.

Chilled about 20 minutes.

Fry for 4 to 6 minutes at 400 degrees.

Remove and drain on paper towels.

7up sounds interesting Tom. Your fish is in the mail.

Don't forget that if you have a recipe to share send it in. If I use it here on my Friday blog, you will receive a free fish fry from a local Northwoods restaurant. Send you recipe to wolf@wrjo.com.

Always remember, if it's a fish fry, eat it!.
