Hello and welcome to another wet and soggy FISH FRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FRIDAY.

Does anyone feel that they are living in a rainforest? The amount of water has been great for the lakes. I have seen so many that have been down for years come bounding back.

Well this week we get eatin' with a recipe from Lonnie Drager. Lonnie loves his recipe and said that it needs to be shared with the masses. Lonnie it will be shared, but the masses that follow me, may not be that massive. But we give it one hell of a try.

Today we dine on Lonnie's garlic perch.

The Part's:
1/2 pound fresh perch fillets
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon finely ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic
2 tablespoons butter
1 lemon, cut in half

Makin' It:
Whisk flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic in a bowl. Gently press perch fillets into flour mixture to coat, shaking off any excess flour.

Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat until butter is foaming and nut-brown in color.

Working in batches, place filets in skillet and cook until light golden, about 2 minutes per side.

Transfer cooked fillets to a plate, squeeze lemon juice over the top, and serve.

Very nice Lonnie. Quick, easy and perch. Three great things.

Now don't forget, if you have a recipe that everyone should try get it to me. All recipes can be sent by e-mails, letter, or dropped off her at the studios in Eagle River. If I use you recipe on this blog you will receive a FREE fish fry to a local restaurant.

It feels great to be back in my normal time slot. Back to the same routine, and only a couple hours with Bruce Marcus instead of all day.

What a great weekend it was. A bit damp but always fun when you can include the Eagle River Fly In. Great brats and corn as always.

This weekend it is The Three Lakes Radar Run with Amy and I have the Minocqua Swim Challenge at Torpy Park. All the info is at www.wrjo.com, www.minocqua.org, or www.threelakes.com.

Can you believe the summer is flying by like it is, and the rain we have received is incredible. I had talked to a gentleman at the fly in this weekend and the lake he is on is a seepage lake and it is up 10". That is very good.

So I wanted to post this for Father's Day but I ran into a few problems last week. It is something to get any of your big eater, hard to buy for, peeps. Check out this little video of a hot dog.

Have a great Monday.

So I'm in for Amy this week. The getting up early and sleep thing is not the problem, it's the going to bed. I am a night owl and trying to convince myself to go to bed early is the challenge.

I love the late night TV, and it always seems the best shows are on then. I am trying to be good and hit the fart sack early but it is not as easy as planned

I have tried to employ the tactics of falling asleep faster. The million dollar question is, what one is the best? So far the warm tea is a winner. The problem is I may have skewed off the path by adding the honey and shot of brandy.

So here is a list. Next time you need a little sleepy sleepy, give one of these a try. I think I am going to stick with the brandy.....I mean the tea.

Reading with a single light for a few minutes and then lying back on your pillow will help you feel more relaxed. Therefore it is easier to fall asleep.

Try sleeping with a pet; this can be very calming knowing that there is a living being with you. If your pet moves a lot and/or lies upon you, however, this can backfire on you!

Warm milk can help you get to sleep. But it’s not because it contains the enzyme tryptophan. WebMD suggests it may just be that the routine of drinking a glass of warm milk is like an old teddy bear that reminds you of home when your mom tucked you into bed at night. The psychological association with milk is stronger than what the milk’s content actually does or doesn't’t do!

Don't eat any high protein or sugar food before going to bed.

Avoid falling asleep somewhere else in the house, such as in front of the TV. If you feel this happening, get up and prepare for bed and get yourself into bed without hurrying.

Don't dramatically change your time that you go to bed. For example one night you go to bed at 10:10 and the next night you plan to fall asleep at 9:00. It helps to change the time by 10 minutes so instead of 9:00 make it 10:00. Then each night reduce it until you get to the time.

If someone else sharing the bed is the cause of your not falling asleep, discuss the problem together. Perhaps it's a case of spending a night in the guest bed when your bed partner is ill or stressed about a deadline, etc. There is no sense in two people missing out on sleep, and this can impact your relationship negatively if you both have a poor night's sleep.

If you are stressed about something, inhale and exhale, letting your worries go... And tell yourself to think about the problem tomorrow. If you don't sleep, then you will not be able to deal with the problem the next day.

Cover your lower legs or wear clean loose fitting socks to bed, if your feet are cold.

Listen to a recorded book. You can do it with the lights off-it's like being read a bedtime story.

Make use of a journal by your bedside. Instead of lying there worrying, write in your journal and leave the thoughts for dealing with during daytime. Use a book light to avoid disturbing others and to avoid putting on too much light. A page or two of thoughts written down can calm you enough to restore the need for sleep.

Make sure that you are comfortable when you go to bed.

Well, the craziness is ramping up here at the ole' WRJO broadcast center. We will be up and running with the Street Dances in 16 days. We are ready to kick off another Summer of Winning with the Lac Vieux Desert Slot machine with a ton of prizes on it as well as the grand prize of $10,000.00 in cash. And we just announced the release of the new WRJO Android and iPhone app. Of course all of the info is on the home page at www.wrjo.com.

We will be out a lot this summer. Make plans to come out and see us at all of our live broadcasts.

So last week I was gone on a little vacation trip with my dad and brother. We used to go to Canada, but we gave that up a few years back. Mainly because the lodge burnt down and the new owners suck, but we did find a great new place. It's called Cass Lake Lodge in Cass Lake Minnesota.

This place has the easiest way to get to your boat and get out fishing. I posted a video on line if you care to see it on Youtube.

Hey, don't forget that Fathers Day is coming up. I found the perfect gift for fishing fathers. It sticks on the dashboard and obviously daces down the road, or take it in the boat. You gotta love the butt crack.

Have a Great Day.
