Well tomorrow I am not going to be in. Now even though I am Catholic, it has nothing to do with Good Friday, I am sure my mother wishes it did, but it does not. I have a company meeting, and I will be honest, it will involve cheese soup in Ashland. Yes mother, I will eat fish.

But because I will be gone I am going to post my Fish Fry recipe today. So happy early FISH FRYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Friday.

Today's recipe comes from Kevin Hart of Three Lakes. Kevin calls his recipe,  "Walleye the way I Like it". So here we go.

The Parts:
4 to 6 walleye fillets
1 egg
1 teaspoon honey
1 cup coarsely crushed saltines
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Frying oil

Makin' It:
In a bowl, beat the egg with the honey.

In another bowl, combine the cracker crumbs, flour, salt and pepper.

Dip fillets into egg mixture, then coat with cracker mixture.

In a large skillet, heat oil and fry coated fish over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

This sounds great Kevin.

Now don't forget, if you have a recipe that everyone should try get it to me. All recipes can be sent by e-mails, letter, or dropped off her at the studios in Eagle River. If I use you recipe on this blog you will receive a FREE fish fry to a local restaurant.

Yeah Hey!

So I filled in for Amy this morning and the most popular phone call was asking me if I had seen the Jeff Gordon test drive video?

I did see the video, and it is a dandy. If you have not, you can see it by clicking the link below.

The question is if it is a real hoax or just a stunt by the soda company? Either, or, it is a funny.

Have a great day.

Alright, let's all say it together. Winter, winter go away, come again some other day.

Welcome to this blessed day. It's FISH FRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FRIDAY!

Last week, Friday night I had made baked flounder at home. Very nice. We had never had it before. It is very perch like.

Ok, on to the fish fry of the week. It comes from Collin Ray of Crandon. Collin said that this is just a simple recipe that his family always uses and everyone just loves it. So this week we dine on...Collin's Simple Fish.

The Parts:
4 Walleye fillets
1 egg
1 cup pancake mix
1 cup flour
1 can 7-Up

Makin It:
Mix egg, pancake mix and 7-Up together well. The coating should be half as thin as pancake batter.

Dip the fillets into the flour and then into the pancake mix. Hold the fillet out of the pancake mix and let the extra batter fall off.

Deep fry for 4 to 6 minutes at 350 degrees.

Place on to paper towels to drain.

Sounds Great Collin. Your fish is on the way.

It's FISH FRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FRIDAY!!!!!!

I think we are all ready for spring. This time last year, green grass and 70. This year snow, snow, and more snow. Don't give me any of that global warming business.

But we continue on and it is eatin' time. Today's recipe comes from Kim and Travis Pollowiski. The recipe is Kim's dad's favorite and she sent it in in memory of him. It is a simple recipe, but it really let's the fish shine through. Today we dine on Bob's Fish.

The Parts:
1 pound crappie fillets.
1/2 cup flour
Salt
Pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Oil for deep frying

Makin' It:
Pour 1 inch of oil in skillet and heat it to 350°.

Combine flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.

Coat fish with flour mixture.

Fry fish for about 5 minutes on each side, until flaky.

EAT!

Thanks Kim, it sounds deeeeeelish. Your fish fry is on the way.
