Wolf's Blog

In early again for Amy who is enjoying some time off. I have to say that even though it is early, a big piece of deep fried fish would be good right now.

This week we have a recipe sent into us from Ben and Kelly Thompkins of Rhinelander. This recipe, as Ben put it is, "So easy even I, can do it". I, meaning Ben in his letter. Ben's uses his recipe often, and according to him is the best with an ice cold beer...or two.

Well Ben, I treat all recipes, hard or easy, with the respect they deserve. They all make that little gilled critter taste so delicious.

Ben's recipe as he calls it, Ben's Bangin' Fish with a touch of lemon.

The Parts:
1 pound fish fillets.
1/2 cup flour
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 lemon
oil for deep frying

Makin' It:
Pour 1 inch of oil in skillet; heat to 375°.

Combine flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Dip fish fillets into flour mixture.

Fry fish until golden brown.

Remove to a platter and serve with lemon.

Ben you are right on track with this recipe. easy, simple, but I am sure extra delicious with that touch of lemon. Also, your free fish fry is in the mail.

Now don't forget, if you have a recipe that everyone should try get it to me. All recipes can be sent by e-mails, letter, or dropped off her at the studios in Eagle River. If I use you recipe on this blog you will receive a FREE fish fry to a local restaurant.
