Seriously is it September. I think we need a little time out. Time out to let the summer catch up.

The one nice thing about the fall rolling in is the fishing gets better.

Why would we be talking about fish today? Well because it's FISH FRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FRIDAY.

Todays we enjoy a recipe from Mark and Colleen Barren that have a home in Presk Isle. Mark and Colleen sent us a recipe that they love because it always reminds them of their summers Up North. Today we dine on

Grandmas Fried Fish



The Parts:
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups crushed saltines
2 pounds fish fillets, cut in half lengthwise
oil for frying

Makin' It:
Place eggs and cracker crumbs in separate shallow bowls.

Dip fillets into eggs, then coat with crumbs. Let stand for 5 minutes.


In an electric skillet or deep-fat fryer, heat oil to 375 degrees F. Fry fillets, a few at a time, for 2 minutes on each side or until fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork.

Drain on paper towels. In a small bowl.

Nice, Easy, and I bet really delicious.
