What a wonderful weekend. Thanks for being a part of it with WRJO. Amy and I met so many of you out and about. We saw old friends and listeners and met a whole buch of new listeners and friends.
Bucher Blues Fest was a huge hit and we thank everyone for coming out to it. If you did not get any of the pulled pork nachos…Shame-Shame, I told you to get there early! The ribs, corn, pulled pork, was all heavenly. We have also posted a 3 minute You tube video on the homepage of our website to relive the day http://www.wrjo.com/.
This weekend we are proud to be a part of the Arbor Vitae Fireman's Picnic / Summerfest. This event has been going on for 36 years and is a dandy. Food, music, prizes, food, lawn mower races, fireworks, did I mention food? Join Amy and I for a live broadcast from 12p-3p on Saturday afternoon. For all the info go to http://www.arborvitaefiredept.org/custom.html?id=16565. This is how the department gives back to the community in a couple of ways. #1, it is a hell of a fun picnic that brings family and friends together from all over the country for a couple of days of fun and camaraderie. #2, the fire department is able to use the money raised to buy needed equipment for the department without the use of taxpayer dollars. That means that the more they make the more A.V. taxpayers save. But PLEASE don’t think this is just a Arbor Vitae thing, it is for everyone.
You know, all the events that go on around the beautiful Northwood’s take hard work and dedication. Next time you are at one of these events be sure to thanks the sponsors and organizers.
But the year is not over we have a ton left to do. Vilas County Fair, Beef-A-Rama, Pines Football. Things are just getting’ goin’.
Don’t forget to always keep up by visiting out On Location page, it is very easy to find at http://www.wrjo.com/pages/9121006.php.
