Yet another cold day Okay, let me rephrase that. Another day in the negative double digits. Winter is sure wearing out it's welcome. 

One thing that we have to look forward to is FISH FRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FRIDAY!!!

Today we dine on a recipe that comes from Katherine McGwinn of Presque Isle. Katherine said that this IS the fish recipe. Who am I to argue. Today we dine on McGwinn's Fried Fish.

The Parts:
1 pound of your favorite fish
1 egg
1 1/2 cups beer
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups crushed cornflake crumbs
Oil for frying

Makin' It:
In a medium bowl, beat together egg, beer, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Place fish in the bowl, and thoroughly coat with the mixture.
 
In a separate medium bowl, pour in the cornflake crumbs.

Dip the fish in the crumb mixture, and thoroughly coat all sides.
 
Deep fry the fish at 350 Degrees Fry until golden brown, and flesh is easily flaked with a fork.

Boom! Sounds delicious Katherine. Your fish is in the mail.
