Well, well, well.

It has been quite a while for a blog post, and I'm sorry. It has been CRAZY for me the last few weeks.

So back to business. It's FISH FRY FRIDAY!!!!

Today we have a recipe from Clare Winger. Clare mentioned that this recipe is a family favorite that she learned from her grandma at the cabin "Up North".

Today we dine on Clare's Grandma's Fish.

The Parts:
1 pound fish fillets
1 egg
1 1/2 cups beer
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups crushed cornflake crumbs
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1 quart oil for frying
 
Makin’It:
In a medium bowl, beat together egg, beer, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
 
Place fish in the bowl, and thoroughly coat with the mixture.
 
In a separate medium bowl, mix the cornflake crumbs and Cajun seasoning.
 
Dip the fish in the crumb mixture, and thoroughly coat all sides.
 
In a large, heavy skillet or deep fryer, heat the oil to 350 degrees.
 
Fry the fish until golden brown, and flesh is easily flaked with a fork.
 
Sounds GREAT Clare. Thank grandma for it. Your fish is in the mail.
